Crowdfunding platforms like Indiegogo, Kickstarter, and FundMe have proven to be powerful tools for entrepreneurs seeking to back their ideas and gain traction. However, it hasn’t been as easy for businesses to start once they’ve met their funding goals. Fledging businesses run into issues with getting actual customers and revenue once they move off their crowdfunding platform and into the world of eCommerce and brick-and-mortar stores. So how can an entrepreneur sustain that traction and hype?
Indiegogo has created a solution with their new eCommerce program, InDemand. InDemand allows completed campaigns to take pre-orders globally, capture customers, and manage analytics, data, communications, and orders from a single platform. It also uses Indiegogo’s existing tools to maintain exposure and SEO, which allows campaigns to take full advantage of the existing web traffic to their campaign pages. This is a new era for crowdfunding opportunities, as entrepreneurs can now not only fund their businesses, they can also build and manage them right from one convenient location: Indiegogo’s InDemand.
Indiegogo rolled out this new feature just this past week, after demoing it to a select group for two months and generating additional millions of dollars for participating campaigns. InDemand is now available to all Indiegogo campaigns that meet their full funding goals, and is essentially a one-stop shop for entrepreneurs.
